Bronx: Stephens Avenue - Bronx River Avenue

(1) Stephens Avenue, at the N. W. corner of Bronx River Avenue, showing the Clasons Point Inn. Part of this building is from the original Cornell house, built in 1643 and later burned by the Indians. At the time of this writing (1937) the house is in a semi-abandoned state and is used as a residence by indigent people. 1906 Gift of Randall Comfort (2) A view of the old inn from the opposite direction, years later.
