Queens: Liberty Avenue - 160th Street

Liberty avenue, east from 160th Street, showing the thoroughfare under construction. Numerous old frame dwellings were razed when Liberty Avenue was cut through here to connect the old Linden Street with that section of Liberty Avenue which lay several blocks east of here. Included in the line of the Avenue was Remsens ice pond and some of the former Remsen property. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection April, 1929
