MacDougal Street, north from No. 20 MacDougal, east side, opposite and including the eastern end of Van Dam Street. When the Independent (municipal) Subway has been dug and Sixth Avenue extended south to Walker and Church Streets; Nos. 20 to 34 MacDougal Street will become 186 to 204 Sixth Avenue. No 24-26, the police station, adjoining the third of the group of six-story tenement houses at the right, will become 194-196 Sixth Avenue. All the buildings on the west side, to and beyond Charlton Street, opposite the western end of Prince Street, will be demolished. This includes the five houses 17 to 25 MacDougal Street, adjoining and north of the garage at 1 Van Dam Street on the north corner; all but the second of these houses are frame, faced with brick. 1926.
