View No. 1 is westward towards the North (Hudson) River and overlooking the Singer, New York Telephone, Transportation and Woolworth Buildings. Note the Queen Mary "outward bound." View No. 2 is due north towards the 42nd Street-Midtown zone. In the foreground here are the Municipal Building, the Federal Courts Building, and other civic structures. View No. 3 is eastward towards the East River and overlooks the lower East Side. The bridges shown in a respective order are, the Brooklyn, the Manhattan and the Williamsburg. Note between the first two mentioned, the white building pile constituting Knickerbocker Village. The marginal thoroughfare is South Street which terminates in the distance at Corlears Hook.
