(1) 11th Street (formerly Hammond Street), south side, from West to Washington Streets, showing the old shack, 425 West Street, at the corner. The buildings on the S.W. corner of Washington Street were demolished two years earlier, and the railroad viaduct has not yet been built. Notice the slum children here and there in the picture, especially the three little ones in the left foreground. July 30, 1932. P. L. Sperr. (2) The same, three years earlier.
