Queens: 27th Avenue - 9th Street
27th Ave., south side, opposite 9th Street, showing the James Tisdale mansion. It was erected in 1826 by Samuel Blackwell and was known as 134 Franklin Street. It came into the possession of James Tisdale, who came from Massachusetts in 1837, through his marriage to the daughter of the owner. His son Robert was the owner in 1896. Eugene L.
