Ashland Place, east side, north from Myrtle Avenue. In the foreground are several very old frame buildings, two with stuccoed fronts. View 2 shows the old buildings, viewed southward toward Myrtle Avenue. This area will later become part of Fort Greene Houses. View 1: October 12, 1940 View 2: July 1, 1934 View 3: April 21, 1941 P. L. Sperr View 3 shows Ashland Place (left) running north from Johnson Street (one block north of Myrtle Ave), with all the buildings on the east side of the street cleared for the new housing center. In the background is the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
