Manhattan: Broadway - 45th Street (West)

Broadway, west side, from West 45th to 46th Streets, showing prominently the Astor at the N. W. corner. This former legitimate theatre is now used former York premiers of motion pictures. Playing at this date is "Lloyds of London." Above same is the Globe Theatre with a Minsky burlesque attraction. Subsequently the latter activities were curtailed by the enforcement of the edict of the Commissioner of License, eliminating the use of the word "burlesque" and the discontinuance of "Strip Tease" Acts. 1937 Views 1,2 W.
