Bronx: Jerome Avenue - Shakespeare Avenue
1171 to 1187 Jerome Ave., west side, at its intersection with Shakespeare Ave., showing Judge Smith's Hotel. It was built about 1850 and was demolished between 1919 and 1923 (G.W.Bromley maps). On its site were later erected nine one-story brick buildings. Gift of Randall Comfort. 1919.
