Bronx: Giles Place - Cannon Place

(1) 3425 Giles Place, west side, between Cannon Place and Sedgwick Avenue, showing the Giles Residence owned by William Ogden Giles. It is situated on the site of the Revolutionary Fort Independence. The terraces of the house are the ramparts of the old fort. The G. W. Bromley map of 1924 as revised to September 1932 shows the mansion still to be there.
