Queens: 63rd Street - Woodside Avenue

63rd Street, east side, south from Woodside Avenue, showing 4 views of the William Sackett house (tower thereon). It was erected by him in 1836 on the S.E. corner plot of the above mentioned location about 100 feet south of Hicks Drive which has since been laid out about 50 feet south of Woodside Avenue. Other owners were A.R. Lawrence 1852, D.G.M. Cotter 1860, J. Hicks 1873, and John J. Hicks in 1882. In 1853 this area was known as Lawrenceville at a later date Hyatt Heights. John D. Lymber, a florist, was the occupant in 1925. E.L.A. states it is on the William Leverich block of 1776. View No. 4 is taken looking north east from the Long Island Railroad right of way at about 62nd Avenue and Queens Boulevard. This is the main line and was moved north eastward since 1915 but continues in the same direction one block east of the Sackett house. April 1925. Views 1, 2, 3 and 4 Eugene L.
