Manhattan: 57th Street (West) - 7th Avenue

West 57th Street, south side, west from Seventh Avenue. At the left is the Inverness which subsequently became Rodin Studios. June 18, 1915 Borough President of Manhattan No. 751 Identified both from appearance & location. Architect: Leopold Eidlitz. The church with is midblock on 57th in this picture was and old bldg. of Central Presbyterian Church, moved stone by stone & reassembled here in last half of 1870's. This building was formerly at SE corner of 19th St & Fifth Avenue, where it served as the 3rd bldg of the Fifth Ave Presbyterian Church (now at 55th & Fifth). E.A. Kraege Feb 1977. Fifth Ave Ch.
