Manhattan: Park Avenue - 41st Street

Excavation for the Pershing Square Building, Park Avenue, east side, from 41st to 42nd Streets. The Grand Central Station is at the extreme left. At the right is the Hotel Commodore. In front of the two is the Park Avenue station of the 42nd Street spur of the Third Avenue Elevated Railroad. This spur will be demolished within two years. June 26, 1922. Irving Underhill.
