Manhattan: 4th Avenue - 29th Street

Fourth Avenue, west side, at East 29th Street, as photographed during subway construction period. Note the crosstown streetcar on 29th Street. This line ran westward on 28th Street and eastward on 29th Street. The corner buildings beyond same will remain until October of 1940 when they will be removed.
