Manhattan: Sylvan Terrace - St. Nicholas Avenue

(1) Sylvan Terrace, east side, from St. Nicholas Ave, east to Jumel Terrace. 1932. J. Clarence Davies Collection, museum of the City of New York. (2) Jumel Terrace, West Side and North at Sylvan Terrace. Jumel Terrace, so named for Stephen Jumel who bought the surrounding property in 1810. It is a short street running parallel to Amsterdam Avenue, from 100th Street to 162nd St. On the East side is the old Jumel Mansion and Roger Morris Park, so named after Capt.
