Richmond: Amboy Road - Great Kills Road
3879 Amboy Road, north side, between Great Kills Road and Giffords Lane, showing "Romeo's Famous Old Gifford Inn." It was formerly known as the Wedemeyer Hotel (1917) and prior to that, the "Old Gifford Inn" (1907). In 1898 it was the home of J.W. Hetherington. Beers' 1874 map refers to it as the Gifford House, then occupied by G. Kent. May 6, 1930. P. L. Sperr.
