Central Park where the Obelisk is erected is one of the most beautiful and most famous of the urban parks in the world. It covers the territory between Fifth and Eighth Avenues, and 59th and 110th Streets a track over 2 1/2 miles long, by half a mile wide, including an area of 840 acres.
