Queens: Furmanville Avenue - 77th Place

Furmanville Ave. (Juniper Swamp Road), east of 77th Place, showing in center of view the Rudolph Ray house, which was occupied by F. White in 1873. This house which was in the line of 78th Street has been moved so that it is now at the S.E. corner of Furmanville Ave. and 78th Street. In the foreground partially shown is the Gottesman cowbarn which subsequently became a fur factory. It was razed by fire on May 5, 1923. May 1923. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection.
