3, 5 East 44th Street, adjoining the N. E. corner of Fifth Avenue (Delmonico's). These houses are included in a picture of Delmonico's dated 1907; since that time the stoop has been taken off No. 5 and new doorway built, which is shown here. No. 3 is about to be demolished and replaced by a 6-story building. 1909. Bronze doorway built 1898-99, #5 is entrance to Campiello!
