Queens: Northern Boulevard - Douglaston Parkway

Northern Boulevard, north side, between Douglaston Parkway (left), and 244th Street (right) showing the Zion Church (P.E.) of Douglaston. This church was donated by Wynant Van Zandt Jr. He also gave the pipe organ and other furniture. The church was constructed on July 30, 1830. Bishop Hobart was the rector. Wm. P. Douglas donated the Chancel. The Parish Hall was largely built by a gift of Bloodgood Cutler, the Long Island farmer poet. This edifice was damaged by fire on December 24, 1924.
