Manhattan: Washington Street - Spring Street

(2) The same, three and a half years later, showing the new St. John's Park Freight Terminal which fills the space between Washington and West Streets, from a little south of Charlton Street, which has been replaced by a service drive, to Clarkson Street. This new terminal was erected here as a part of the West Side Improvement and Track Removal Project of the New York Central Railroad. It replaced the original, which occupied the block (former park of same name) bounded by Hudson, Varick, Beach and Light Streets. November 3, 1937. P. L. Sperr.
