Celebrations - Parades - Municipal events - Murphy Funeral.

Celebrations, Parades and Municipal Events: A set of three views of the funeral procession of Chas. Francis Murphy, former leader of Tammany Hall, approaching St. Patrick's Cathedral. This individual died at his home at 305 East 17th Street, on April 26, 1924 and this last mass was held April 29, prior to interment in old Calvary Cemetery. In No's 1 and 2 the view is southward on Fifth Ave., across 49th Street and northward in No. 3.
