Manhattan: 42nd Street (East) - 2nd Avenue
East 42nd Street, west from, but not including Second Ave. Prominently shown in the foreground, and on the south side of the street, is the News Building (Nos. 226-216). Slightly further westward, is the Chanin Building (S.W. corner of Lexington Ave), with the Chrysler Building on the opposing (N.E.) corner of the afore mentioned Avenue. The dark appearing building in the foreground (adjoining the N.E. corner of Third Ave), upon which is cast the shadow of the News Building, is the Bartholomew Building; which was formerly the site of St. Bartholomew's Chapel and Parish House.
