Queens: Mount Olivet Crescent - 62nd Avenue

Mt. Olivet Crescent, north from Sixty-second Ave., showing the Fresh Pond Crematory located on the N.W. corner of the aforementioned streets. The Lutheran Cemetery is directly Opposite. In 1884, thirteen city lots were purchased by the Fresh Pond Crematory at Mount Olivet. The cornerstone of the original frame building was laid November 19, 1884, and on December 4, 1885, this building was used for the first time. The present buildings were erected in 1892.
