Queens: Catalpa Avenue - 62nd Street

Catalpa Ave., south side, between 62nd Street (left) and Fresh Pond Road (right), showing the Philip Edsall house. At the right foreground are circus tents. View No. 2 shows an outbuilding facing 62nd Street and in the background brick tenements on the west side of Fresh Pond Road. In No. 3 is another view of the outbuilding, once the Ivanhoe Volunteer Company's Pumping Station built by Hy. W. Mayer in 1890 at his expense. None of these buildings appear in 1929. 1922.
