Brooklyn: Kings Highway - 38th Street (East)

Kings Highway, north side, at East 38th Street, showing the Jeremiah Bergen House, erected about 1850, and occupied by his son Theodore in 1922. Now (1936), it is no longer standing. The Bergen farm consisted of about 30 acres. The elder Bergen had three sons, Jerome L., a farmer and engineer, Theodore, a farmer and Edgar, a lawyer. He also had two daughters, Sarah unmarried and Anna who married Benj. G. Hitchings, father of the present J. G. Hitchings. 1922. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection. The same, from another angle. 1922.
