Manhattan: Union Square (East) - 15th Street.

Union Square Hotel, Union Square East on S.E. corner of 15th Street, with adjoining buildings on 15th Street and on Union Square East, newly remodelled by S. Klein for his growing business. The Union Square Hotel was built late in the 1870's on the site of the old residences 14-16-18 Union Square. The 15th Street wing of the S. Klein's enlarged quarters was made by remodelling the newer Hotel America. In the background may be seen the tower of the new Consolidated Gas Building at Irving Place and 14th Street, completed 1928. August 4, 1930. P. L. Sperr.
