Manhattan: Avenue C - 14th Street (East)

Avenue C, north across East 14th Street. An empty lot occupies the 14th to 15th Street frontage. On the block north is a gas holder of the Consolidated Edison Co. The utilitarian building above (16th to 17th Streets) is the N. Y. C. Motor Transport Building. At this point this avenue terminates and traffic flows into Exterior Street. Eventually the latter will become a portion of the East River Drive. October 23, 1939 P. L. Sperr
