Manhattan: James Slip - South Street

(1) James Slip, West Side and North from #13 left, a point midway between South and Water Streets to New Chambers Street. The two story structures with wooden stairs are Numbers II and II2. The frame house shown at the corner of Water Street being #9 James Slip. In the background appears the triangular apex, caused by the convergence of James with Chambers Streets and which forms the head of the Slip. Eugene L.
