A set of 2 views photographed in the general direction of Madison Square and overlooking the west side area between 14th and 23rd Streets. To the right are buildings set at the focal point. They are the New York Life and the Metropolitan; In the left background, the recently constructed Empire State Building outstands. The buildings in the foreground are identified in a view taken May 31, 1930. They are from left to right, the 19 story New York Telephone Co. Building; No. 106-110 Seventh Avenue (a 12 story loft); a new 18 story apartment, No. 100 Seventh Avenue (at N.W. corner of West 16th Street); and No. 90 Seventh Avenue (S.W. corner of 16th Street) another 18 story apartment.
