Queens: Jamaica Avenue - 168th Street
Jamaica Ave., (tracks thereon), at the northeast corner of 168th St., showing according to T.F. Archer, Caleb Weeks Tavern, also known as the John Plemming house. John Plemming came from Ireland to Jamaica in 1856. After serving in the Civil War, he became Distract Attorney for Queens County in 1883. At a latter date he was made a judge of the Special Sessions Court. 1922 Eugene L. Armbruster Collection.
