Manhattan: Tiemann Place - Rockaway Parkway

Manhattanville: A view of the west side of the Public Drive (Broadway) at West 127th Street (Tiemann Place) and showing the Thomas M. Finley Boarding School at the N.W. corner of same. This institution was in operation in 1811. In this structure were held the earlier services of St. Mary's P.E. Church, prior to the construction of the building on Lawrence Street in 1823. Today (1937) the Whitestone, an apartment house bearing No. 41-45 Tiemann Place, stands upon this site. Unknown date.
