Queens: 58th Street - Maspeth Avenue

58th Street (foreground), south from Maspeth Ave. to 57th Drive, showing from left to right, the Queens Head Tavern, at the corner; the Maurice house, in the center; and St. Saviours Protestant Episcopal Church. 58th Street was originally Flushing Ave., (also Creek Street) near the Queens Tavern, but it was discontinued at this point where it curved, and 58th Street was extended in a straight line.
