Brooklyn: Wallabout St. - Clinton Ave.

Wallabout Market, Flushing Ave., north side, between Clinton (left) and East (right) Aves., showing the site upon which the City of Brooklyn founded in 1884 a market built upon swamp land leased for that purpose. In 1891 the City of New York acquired title to this land which was once a part of the New York Naval Yard. Also shown are sailboats anchored in Wallabout Bay. About 1884. Eugene L.
