29 to 7 Vandam Street, old residences on the south side, west of, and looking towards MacDougal Street. There is a little break between No. 23 and No. 21, the last of the group with dormer windows. Just east of No. 21 are three frame houses faced with brick, Nos. 19-15. Then there is another little gap, followed by the double house 13-11 Vandam Street, which has a carriage entrance in the center of the house, under the round window, for carriages to go through to the back yard. Compare 48-50 King Street. No. 9 has two dormer windows. Beyond No. 7 is No. 5, a seven-story tenement house. About 1918. New York Sun staff photograph. Gift of E. M. Jenks.
