Manhattan: Park Avenue - 52nd Street
Park Avenue, north from 52nd Street. The Racquet and Tennis Club occupies the block in the west side between 52nd and 53rd Street. To the right of it there is just a glimpse of the Fuller Building tower at Madison Avenue and 57th Street. On the east side of the Avenue the Ritz Tower rises at 57th Street. Careful comparison with Galloway's photograph of the identical scene in 1905 will show that the small buildings on the west side of the avenue, between 53rd and 54th Streets, are the identical ones shown in the earlier picture. The small apartment house (No. 441) on the N. E. corner of 56th Street is also an old building. 1932. Ewing Galloway
