Manhattan: Leonard Street - Center Street

Foley Square (prominent buildings there upon), showing mainly the northerly side of the New York State Bldg., as viewed southward across the new site for the Criminal Courts (and prison) Bldg. This particular side is on the south side of Leonard Street; Center Street being on the extreme right of this panoramic set of three. Across the roof of this structure appear the towers of the Federal Courts Bldg. and the Municipal Bldg.; all fronting on the easterly side of Foley Square. The clearance seen extends for 2 blocks, incorporating an area bounded by White (foreground), Center (right), Leonard and Baxter (left) Streets. On the opposite side of the latter appears a tenement at the N.E. corner of Bayard and Baxter Streets and Columbus Park at the S.E. corner. June 12, 1938. Views 1,2 and 3 P. L. Sperr
