Manhattan: 7th Avenue - 12th Street (West)

(1) Seventh Avenue, west side, at West 13th Street, showing the demolition of the 'Rhinelander Flats', a row of eleven 3-story brick houses with wooden balconies. These buildings, which were erected in 1848, extend from West 18th to 13th streets, and occupy the whole block front. This area will be cleared and developed into a temporary playground by the WPA.
