Queens: 27th Avenue - 14th Street

14-22 27th Avenue, adjoining the S.E. corner of 14th Street, showing the rectory of St. Georges Protestant Episcopal Church. It appears from the 1873 and 1891 maps of Queens County that the rectory stood at the S.E. corner of 14th Street, where the brick church is now located, and that the church itself, then a frame edifice, occupied the N.E. corner of Astoria Avenue, formerly Main Street, and 14th Street, where the Public Library now stands.
