Manhattan: 98th Street (East) - Madison Avenue

East 98th Street, south side, between Madison and Fifth Avenues, showing rural conditions prevailing on the present site of St. Bernard's School (No. 4-12 E. 98th St.). Fifth Avenue is to the right and runs across the midground; vacant lots being on this side and Central Park on the far side. In the center is a 3-story brick dwelling, No. 1150 Fifth Avenue, situated at the N.E. corner of 96th Street. This photo was verified with the photographers successors (H. N.
