Manhattan: 11th Street - 5th Avenue

11th Street, west from Fifth Avenue, showing the 40 Fifth Avenue apartment house (erected 1928) on the S.W. corner and part of the First Presbyterian Church (erected 1845) on the N.W. corner. In the background may be seen the Sixth Avenue Elevated, then St. Vincent's Hospital on the N.E. corner of 11th Street and Seventh Avenue, and the building on the N.W. corner of Greenwich Avenue and 11th Street. In the right foreground, on the N.E. corner, may be seen one of those bronze traffic signals which were installed on Fifth Avenue during Mayor James J. Walker's administration. June 11, 1933. P. L.
