Manhattan: Washington Square East - 4th Street (West)
78, 80, and 81-4 Washington Square East, from West 4th Street to Washington Place. The building occupied by The Celluloid Company was erected around 1895 after demolition of the Asbury Methodist-Episcopal Church, which has stood on that corner. About the same time the Vischer building, shown on the N.E. corner of Wooster and 4th Streets, was erected. 80 Washington Place, in the middle of the block, is the old Benédick, an apartment house.
