Manhattan: Broadway - Exchange Place

Broadway, at the N. E. corner of Exchange Place, showing the Consolidated Stock and Petroleum Exchange Building (erected in 1887-8). For details of this organization see page 792 of Kings Handbook of N. Y. (1893). The 22 story Columbia Trust Company Building succeeded to this site. On the right is an extensive view eastward on Exchange Place, across New, Broad and William Streets. Note the low buildings to the rear of this structure. These were subsequently removed for the Blair and Mackey Buildings during the building controversy between these individuals. About 1890 Ewing Galloway
