Manhattan: 8th Street (East) - Broadway

Egan Building, 65-67 East 8th Street, north side, west of Broadway, seen from the west side of Mercer Street at its northern end. This 7-story building was erected some time between 1902 and 1910, replacing two small houses which had been 7 and 5 Clinton Place (the street-name and numbering was changed in 1899). "Dick the Oysterman" occupies the ground floor of No. 65. March 20, 1931. P. L. Sperr.
