Manhattan: Houston Street (East) - Forsyth Street

(1) East Houston Street, south side, east from (No. 97), but not including the Bowery, to and including Forsyth Street, showing consecutively, part of the 11-story Fisher Building (Nos. 97-103); St. Augustine's Chapel (Trinity Parish) at Nos. 105-109; and the National (formerly Tomashefsky) Theatre, Nos. 111-117, at the S.W. corner of Chrystie Street. Also shown (foreground) is construction work in progress (north side of the street) on the Independent System Subway (Eighth Ave. subway), after demolition of the houses which formerly occupied the site.
