Brooklyn: Surf Avenue - 8th Street (West)
Surf Ave., north side, east of West 8th Street, to Ocean Parkway, showing at the left the Prospect house, later known as Doyle's Hotel, which was erected in 1875 and known then as Cable's Hotel. Next is the station of the Prospect Park and Coney Island R.R. - the building bears the inscription "Vienna" on its side-; and beyond the station is the Vanderveer Hotel erected in 1875.
