Islands - Coney Island - [Riegelmann boardwalk - Children wearing Helen Wills Moody eyeshades.]

A part of the Boardwalk, Coney Island, with the new Half-Moon Hotel showing in the distance. Notice the eyeshades which the children at the left-centre are wearing. These were popular at this time, due to the fact that Helen Wills (later Helen Wills-Moody), the tennis star, habitually wore one in her matches. About 1925. Ewing Galloway.
