Bronx: Southern Boulevard - 143rd Street (East)

Southern Boulevard, north side, west from East 134th Street to (No. 65) its junction with East 133rd Street, showing the cleared area created by the demolition of buildings which formerly stood there. The houses were razed to permit the construction of an approach to the Triborough Bridge. In the center of the view are seen the rears of 2-story houses on the south side of East 134th Street, and in the right background, buildings on the north side of East 135th Street. July 29, 1937. P.
