The cleared area is Stuyvesant Park, bounded by East 15th and East 17th Streets, Rutherford and Livingston Places. On the northeastern edge of the park is seen Beth-Israel Hospital at the S.E. corner of Livingston Place and East 17th Street and (left) St. George Church (P.E.) at the N.W. corner of Rutherford Place and East 16th Street.
