Queens: 50th Avenue - Utopia Parkway

50th Avenue (left, telephone poles thereon), south side, at Utopia Parkway, showing the farmhouse and farm of Annie Laurence. Wolverton's and Bromley's maps of 1891 and 1909, respectively, show the property to have belonged to Laurence and 50th Avenue was known as Laurence Road. The photographer took the views from a point on North Hempstead Turnpike, east of Fresh Meadow Lane. Union Turnpike had not yet been cut through. P. L. Sperr April 6, 1927 Views 1,2
